Coronovirus, Fear & Stress

You have a magnet inside you.  Is it a magnet of fear or faith?  A fear magnet draws to you exactly what you fear.  The Bible is clear, "What I fear comes upon me, And what I dread befalls me." (Job 3:25)  This was the open door / legal right satan had to operate in Job's life.

A faith magnet draws to you what you are believing for.  "It shall be done to you according to your faith." (Matthew 9:29)

Fear actually is faith.  It's just faith in the wrong thing.  God honors and responds to faith in Him and His word. Satan uses your fear as an open door for him to attack. Science has shown us how fear wipes out your immune system. Fear turns off all your healing genes and turns on all your inflammatory genes. 

It is very easy to look at the world around us and see only the sickness, death and lack.  If that is what you see and focus on, of course you will be afraid! Fear will steal your joy and all of God's blessings.  It's like leaving home with your door wide open for all the bad guys to come in and rob you.  All because you believed a lie.  Here are some lies we believe.

• The darkness is growing and God's kingdom is becoming smaller: "Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end." (Isaiah 9:7)  Jesus said the kingdom is here (Matt 4:17), it's not some day off in the future.  God's kingdom is now and it is increasing.
• Sickness is just a part of human life we must put up with: "And He said, 'If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you...; for I, the LORD, am your healer.'" (Ex. 15:26)
• Disease is more powerful than the cross:  Oh, I know you wouldn't say that one out loud but my thoughts and words would make you think I believe that at times.  At times, I have put more power, belief and expectation in the normal experience of life than I have in the supernatural gifts bestowed on me at the cross! "By His stripes we are healed!" (Isa. 53:5, 1 Pet. 2:24)
• You never know what God is going to do or if He'll come through on this one, after all He is sovereign: If you believe this lie, that's what you'll get but if you believe like these Bible writers did, you'll get totally different results.  Your faith will draw like a magnet the provision you need.  "I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread." (Ps. 37:25) "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:19)

What are you looking at? What voices have you been listening to? Have you been allowing what you fear to come upon you and steal your joy and blessings? If so, remember that that is not the end of Job's story. When he repented, God restored double all that satan had taken! And He will do the same for you, if you will wholeheartedly put your faith only in His words. Stop agreeing with the devil and his lies. Repentance restores freedom and restores God’s blessings in our lives.

Repentance is simply changing your mind about something so that you no longer agree with the devil but agree with God - and it's totally freeing!  When you do this, weights are lifted off your shoulders and your mind.  You close the door to any legal right Satan has to rob from you.   Joy and peace can be restored.

Celebrate the freedom you now have through Jesus.  The freedom He won for you at the cross. Ask God to show you any thought that you have been thinking or any belief you have been believing that was actually agreeing with the devil.  Then simply change your mind about it and choose to agree with God.  After all, you are putting your whole life in His hands for eternal salvation and life after death with Him in heaven.  You can rely on Him for everything else He has promised too while here on earth.

So, Stress Busters don't let fear control their lives. We practice common sense and things we know to be true in the natural especially when backed up by God's word like God saying to isolate and wash under running water to avoid spreading contagious diseases. So we do that.  But we do it all from a position of rest, not fear, while asking God for His protective shield. Be led by the Spirit so He can guide and protect you from infection. Follow any nudges/leadings He gives you.  But don't draw the very thing you fear to you by living in fear.  

Steps you can take

• Tell God you choose life and you choose the blessing.  
• Don't feed the fear.  Feed on things that are life-giving or peace-giving.
• Fast and your health will spring forth speedily.

• Sometimes we have to say that truth is more important than facts.  The fact might be X but the truth of God's word says Y, for example.  But in the case of the coronovirus, even looking at the facts, we can gain hope.  For instance because 80% of people who get the virus will have very mild symptoms, most of them will not be reported and therefore the death rate of people dying from the virus is even smaller than what is being reported.  

If you've been stressed about the coronovirus, the very thing you fear could come upon you.  But God has given you a way to come against the fear...with faith.  "Even in a time of disaster, with thousands and thousands being killed, you will remain unscathed and unharmed...When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High, our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm. How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us?" (Psalm 91:7-10 TPT)  That's either true or it's not.  Which will you choose to believe and draw to you?
